Hello lovelies! Long time, no blog. It’s been a long & crazy week and I didn’t even realize it had been a week since I uploaded until I looked at my last post. Ever have those days or weeks where time just slips away & next thing you know the week/day is over? That was my week.
Anyway, today I am finally doing a review on my new Real Techniques goodies! I planned on doing this post last week but as I explained above, it was pretty hectic.
From left to right we have:
- Contour Brush
- Pointed Foundation Brush
- Detailer Brush
- Buffing Brush
Now, I actually use the contour brush for my powder, which I think it works great for. Contouring isn’t really a part of my daily makeup routine & I needed a new powder brush anyway.
I actually do not use the pointed foundation brush, but I do think it would be good for foundation or even concealer.
I also do not use the detailer brush either, but it would be good for concealer as well or even applying lipstick!
Finally we have the buffing brush. I used this for my powder, actually, the first few times I used it but I felt as though it was too dense for applying powder. So, I have actually been using it for a quicker way to apply my foundation. Although, I do not recommend putting liquid foundation straight onto the brush.
From left to right:
- Deluxe Crease Brush
- Base Shadow Brush
- Accent Brush
- Fine Liner Brush
- Brow Brush
I have actually used this for both my lid & crease color of my eyeshadow & I actually like it as a base shadow brush more.
Again, I went back and forth with this brush & the one above for both but I like this one for the crease brush.
I think I have only used this brush once, but it is the perfect brush for applying eyeshadow under the waterline.
I have not used this brush at all, so I have no opinion on it. Although, I wouldn’t know how to go about using it as a eyeliner brush, which is what it is supposed to be used as.
I actually do use the brow brush to fill in my eyebrows & I love it so much!
If you’re obsessed with YouTube like I used to be, then you would know all about the “Beauty Blender.” Now, I refuse to spend $20 on a sponge to apply my makeup with. After watching this review from Casey Holmes, I have been determined to buy this sponge. I finally got around to it after Christmas & I could not be happier with my purchase! If you have been lusting after the Beauty Blender & don’t want to pay $20 for one, BUY THIS SPONGE. It’s only about $6 & makes my foundation look so good.
Here you can see the difference between when it is dry & when it is damp. They recommend applying your foundation with it damp & it definitely makes a difference!
That’s all I have for you guys today! Thanks for stopping by!
